Emerson CSI 6500 Machinery Health Monitor

The CSI 6500 Equipment Condition Monitoring System is fully compliant with API 670 and is designed to protect and monitor critical rotating machinery.

Special features of the system include the ability to integrate data from protection functions into DeltaV and Ovation process automation systems in three simple steps;

Transient analysis with real-time display, logging, pause and playback; and superior PeakVue processing for early detection of bearing and gear damage.

Subrack Configuration:

- The 19" subrack is used only for the 6 U version of the protection function and the standard 3 U version of the protection function.

- The 19" subrack is used only for the forecasting function and has a mounting height of 6 U with front or rear sensor connection terminals.

A compact version with a mounting width of 7.5" is also available.

- Only the 19"/6 U subrack is available for combined protection and forecasting functions.

n The machine monitoring function is fully compliant with API 670.

n Standard 19"/6 U subrack for cabinet mounting

n System design ensures that no more than two channels are affected in the event of a card failure; cards can be replaced during operation

n Internal clock synchronized to the system master clock

n Redundant ModBus connections, TCP or serial connections for integrating the Protection Monitor into third-party control systems.

Additional ModBus outputs for forecast parameters

n 16 or 32 trip relay output slots

n Dual channel speed/keypad

n 12 slots for 3 U dual-channel vibration or position monitoring modules with a total of 24 inputs

n 4-20 mA outputs and buffered signal outputs on front and rear panels

n Configurable external alarm output disable and limit increase for each channel

n External power supply unit, no slots required
