The SQ Controller executes control logic based on process signals from the I/O subsystem

and provides communication with the rest of the DeltaV control system for operator interaction and data collection.

Each controller node can be installed as a simplex or redundant node.

The CHARM I/O card (CIOC) connects through the controller's redundant Ethernet

ports to provide a highly distributed and flexible I/O solution called an e-solution.

for up to 100 WirelessHART devices, ensuring high availability and reliability of wireless data.

Up to 16 WirelessHART I/O cards can be connected to a single controller, each providing up to 100 signals.

The controller automatically schedules control modules based on the assigned scan rate.

This allows each control function to be dynamically optimized for the process.

Module scan times can be set as fast as 100 milliseconds and as slow as 60 seconds.

The number of control modules that can be assigned to the controller depends

on the complexity and scan rate of each module, as well as the available CPU and memory.

The SQ controller is suitable for small to medium sized applications with up to 750 independent I/O signals.

Designed for harsh environments, the SQ controller is rated for G3 corrosive

environments and has an operating temperature range of -40 to 70°C.
