Delta launches backpack water pump all-in-one machine

In the water supply and drainage system, water pump is an indispensable and important role. Traditional pumps with induction motors running through the mains, and then through the throttle valve to adjust the flow and pressure of the way, very easy to cause energy waste. Delta's MPD series of backpack pumps, which were developed specifically for the secondary water supply industry under the drive of Delta's intelligent manufacturing concept, are equipped with intelligent functions such as multi-pump redundancy, flow estimation, cavitation and high and low water pressure protection, as well as high energy efficiency, low noise, and power-saving cabinets, which are the embodiment of Delta's implementation of intelligent manufacturing and understanding of users' needs.

The main features of the MPD series of backpack pump all-in-one machines are:

● Integrated design, intelligent and safer

Delta backpack pump MPD series integrated design, plug and play, zero debugging, built-in PLC and perpetual calendar, etc.; the product can also be paired with the Delta pump APP, remote monitoring and debugging. MPD drive and motor using quick-plug connectors to connect, installation and maintenance are simple and convenient. The shared air duct design not only significantly reduces the size of the device, but also can more accurately grasp the operating conditions of the pump.

MPD also has the function of flow estimation, without the need to install an additional flow meter, you can estimate the flow in the pipe. When the water pressure is too high, too low, pipe clogging and other situations, can be timely alarm. When there is more serious water shortage, dry pump, burst pipe, MPD automatically learns the curve data generated, can trigger the automatic shutdown mechanism and alarm in time, so that the loss is minimised. When the repair is completed, the system can automatically judge the restoration of water supply.

Functions such as anti-frost, auto-cleaning, and vapour corrosion warning, etc., have greatly enhanced the intelligence of the water supply system and the convenience of operation and maintenance.

Multiple control modes

Delta's MPD series of backpack pumps supports multiple pump control modes, up to 8 pumps.

Constant pressure mode can be used for daily water supply. Without the need for an upper computer, the output water pressure can be kept constant and the number of pumps running can be adjusted in real time according to the demand, making the water supply more stable and the overall energy efficiency higher. The energy-saving mode, on the other hand, allows the pump to automatically hibernate during periods of very low water volume or no water use. The design of pressure boosting before bedtime can effectively increase the length of sleep and reduce power consumption.

The scheduling function allows you to freely set the running target and time of each pump. It is also possible to use the cycle running programme to average the running time of the pumps and prolong the life of the pumps.

The built-in multi-pump redundancy function allows other auxiliary inverters to automatically take over the water supply when the main inverter fails unexpectedly, maintaining the system pressure and eliminating the risk of sudden water stoppage.

High energy efficiency index

Energy efficiency is one of the most important concerns of users and operators. The low energy efficiency of traditional motors has been the consensus of the industry. High-efficiency motors of IE4 and IE5 are gradually replacing these traditional asynchronous motors.

Delta has optimised the MPD series of backpack pumps in all aspects, from hardware performance to control and manipulation, so that the overall energy efficiency has been greatly improved to reach the IES2 level of system efficiency, which complies with the new IEC 61800-9-2 standard.
