Emerson AMS 6500 Protection Monitor Configuration Features

Basic Predictive Features

The AMS 6500 Configuration Software has a number of built-in trending

functions that allow basic troubleshooting and prediction of the machine.

Master value trends are graphically represented, showing both card health and alarm values.

The software can display vibration signals as a function of time,

The software displays the vibration signal as a function of time,

the date of the FFT analysis with a resolution of up to 400 lines, and the FFT phase data.

The software also displays the last time the machine was started or stopped.

The configuration software visualises the data and displays velocity over time and vibration over velocity for each channel.

The configuration suite contains the following sections:

CD-ROM containing the configuration of the AMS 6500 protection module

Installation instructions

2 metre configuration cable with 9-pole SUB D plug and 6-pole miniature

DIN diode plug for connection to AMS 6500 Protection Monitor

9-pole SUB D DV adapter on 25-pole SUB D, type AB914F

Two adapter cables with SMB coaxial plugs on both sides

for connection of oscilloscopes to the AMS 6500 Protection Monitor.

System requirements

To load the programme, the PC or laptop must fulfil the following minimum prerequisites:

Standard PC/laptop, Pentium II or higher, minimum clock frequency 500 MHz, CD-ROM.

RS232 interface port (or USB (when used with an external USB to RS232 converter)).
