The Allen-Bradley 1336-R1-SP4A PC board or buffer resistor is used for AC inverters,

Power Modules and Buffer Resistor Inverters.

The 1336-R1-SP4A PC board can be used as a buffer resistor spare part kit for power supplies on 1336 FORCE, 1336 IMPACT, 1336 PLUS II, and 1336 PLUS drives.

The 1336-R1-SP4A PC board can be used as a replacement buffer resistor inverter for the power supply module on 1336 FORCE, 1336 IMPACT, 1336 PLUS II, and 1336 PLUS drives.

The Allen-Bradley 1336-R1-SP4A Buffer Resistor or PC Board is a spare parts kit for AC drive power supplies, modules, and buffer resistor inverters.

The 1336-R1-SP4A buffer resistor can be used as a replacement buffer resistor for the 1336 FORCE, 1336 IMPACT, 1336 PLUS II, and 1336 PLUS series.

The 1336-R1-SP4A buffer resistor can be used as a replacement buffer resistor inverter for the 1336 FORCE, 1336 IMPACT, 1336 PLUS II, and 1336 PLUS series drive power modules.

The 1336 IMPACT, 1336 PLUS II, and 1336 PLUS series drives are variable frequency AC drives. The output power ratings for each of these drive series are:

0.37 to 448 kW for 1336 PLUS II drives, 0.37 to 597 kW for 1336 IMPACT drives.

1336 PLUS drive 0.37 to 448 kW.

Buffer resistors such as the 1336-R1-SP4A are designed to eliminate voltage spikes in circuits caused by circuit inductance.

These voltage spikes are generated when a semiconductor or mechanical switch is turned on.

A simple snubber circuit consists of a capacitor and a series-connected snubber resistor across a switch.

The 1336-R1-SP4A snubber resistor is compatible with the Frame F inverters in the Allen-Bradley AC Inverter product line described above.

Each power module requires 3 spare part kits. 1336-R1-SP4A snubber resistors are available for AC drives rated at 250. 300. 250. 400. and 450 hp output power.

The 1336-R1-SP4A buffer resistors are available for AC drives with higher internal voltages and currents.

Only a technician familiar with the Allen-Bradley 1336 AC drives should plan and perform the drive installation and repair process.

Before servicing, ensure that the bus capacitors are fully discharged. Failure to do so may result in electric shock.
