Data passthrough. The controller is capable of passing Smart HART® messages from ffeld devices to any workstation node in your control network. This means you can remotely manage HART messages contained in HART or FOUNDATION fieldbus devices using applications such as AMS Device Manager.

Prepare for the future. As your system grows, you can expand your software licence to increase the number of Device Signal Tags (DSTs) assigned to your DeltaV controller.

Starting with 50 DSTs and expanding to 1500 DSTs. the complexity of the control strategy and the control module scan rate determine the overall performance and application size of the controller.

Installation. This plug-and-play system architecture provides modular system scalability from a single controller up to 100 controller nodes in a single DeltaV system. Each controller's I/O subsystem is expandable online and can be installed in Class 1. Div 2. or ATEX Zone 2 environments. Designed to support legacy migration for advanced operations, the MX controllers provide a DeltaV platform to migrate even the largest PROVOX SRX controllers, while also supporting PROVOX and RS3 migration I/O interfaces.

The combination of CPU capacity and number of DSTs provides ample resources for one-to-one migration of the largest SRX controller configurations with the DeltaV MX controller.

Existing PROVOX I/O is retained in PROVOX by migrating I/O interfaces to support up to 1500 real I/O signals. Serial datasets are migrated to DeltaV serial cards, eliminating the need for all virtual I/O as modules can be directly referenced in the DeltaV system.

Migration from the RS3 system to the DeltaV system is fully supported through the MD Plus and MQ controllers, as well as the RS3's migration I/O interface. MX controllers can also be used for these projects if necessary.
