A look at CR Microelectronics ICs and new IPMs and other product highlights

Over the past year, the global semiconductor market is in a period of shock and adjustment, consumer demand showed a downturn, but industrial control and new energy terminal demand has maintained high growth.

As a leading IDM semiconductor leading enterprises in China, China Resources Microelectronics (688396) in recent years, focusing on industrial control, automotive electronics and other high-quality track for in-depth layout, with a number of head of the OEM, the head of the Tier1 factory to form a strategic cooperation, the launch of dozens of power class and drive class automotive-grade products, batch application in power, chassis, body, assisted driving and other vehicle application scenarios.

In order to further expand the application and influence of its IC products in the fields of industrial control, new energy and automotive electronics, China Resources Microelectronics' business unit - China Resources Microelectronics Integrated Circuit (Wuxi) Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as “CR Micro”) has authorised Sequence Advanced (Shenzhen) Technology Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Sequence Advanced”) to act as an agent for its power ICs, smart control MCUs, smart sensors and IPM products, and to offer (hereinafter referred to as ‘SEI Advanced’) distributes its power ICs, intelligent control MCUs, intelligent sensors and IPM products, and provides manufacturing services such as open wafer fabrication and package testing.

Specifically, power ICs mainly include AC-DC, power management ICs and motor driver ICs, etc. They have a wide range of white goods and industrial-grade standard products with high reliability and applicability, which are widely used in the fields of white goods such as air, ice and washing appliances and low-voltage appliances.

Intelligent control MCUs mainly have 8-bit and 32-bit products, including human-computer interaction MCUs, metering and computing MCUs, general-purpose MCUs, security MCUs and safety MCUs.

Smart sensors include MEMS sensors, smoke alarm sensors and photoelectric sensing. Among them, the annual shipment of smoke alarm sensors has been the first in China for several years, with a wide range of products, including analogue photoelectric (with I/O), ionic, MCU-type programmable, beeper driver circuit and digital photoelectric types.

CS2132 is a MCU-type programmable smoke alarm sensor, which requires only a minimum number of external devices to establish a programmable platform for addressable smoke detectors, supports photoelectric smoke detectors, and can be used for the establishment of addressable smoke detectors in public places, commercial places, and residential areas.

After years of continuous R&D investment, CR Micro's IPM product line has covered low-power full-bridge IPMs, low-power half-bridge IPMs and medium-to-high-power IPMs, and according to different applications, it can also provide smart power IPM modules (e.g., in the field of home appliances), low-voltage full-bridge gate driver circuits, high-voltage half-bridge gate driver circuits, and single-lane low-side gate driver circuits, etc. The CS57304S is a high-voltage full-bridge IPM, which can be used in a variety of applications.

The CS57304S is a high-voltage, high-speed power half-bridge driver circuit that is mainly used in systems driving N-type MOS or IGBT power devices. The circuit has built-in undervoltage protection to prevent the power tubes from operating at low control voltages; the logic inputs are compatible with standard CMOS or LSTTL outputs down to 3.3V.

To ensure product reliability, CS57304S also built-in anti-direct current design and dead time; output driver contains high pulse current buffer stage design to reduce the driver tube direct; circuit also built-in bootstrap diode BSD, simplifying the design of peripheral circuits; high-voltage suspension channel can be used to drive 600V high-voltage N-channel power MOSFETs or IGBTs.

At present, CR Microelectronics products have been widely used in consumer electronics, household appliances, Internet of Things, portable intelligent medical hardware, new energy, industry, intelligent control, smart grid, electric vehicles, base stations, drones and other fields.

In the future, CR Microelectronics will join hands with SEI Advanced to provide high-precision IC products for downstream users and enhance the applications in the fields of servers, frequency converters, refrigerator compressors and inverters.

In addition to its rich IC product line, CR Micro is also quite successful in the field of intelligent manufacturing.

In terms of manufacturing process platform, CR Micro's 0.11 micron BCD technology platform has been validated by customers, 0.15 micron digital BCD technology platform has started to market, and 0.18 micron analogue BCD technology platform has reached the international advanced level.

In terms of packaging, CR Micro intelligent power module packaging in the first half of the full production state, the development of new IPM packaging products began mass production. In addition, CR Micro's pre-developed new packaging forms (LFPAK, TOLL, TO247. etc.) have also been oriented towards photovoltaic, energy storage field to achieve mass production.

According to SEI Advanced, CR Microelectronics' highly reliable IC product matrix will meet the needs of product development and innovation in downstream industry, home appliances and automotive electronics, etc. Its IDM model will also provide a stable and secure supply guarantee for hard science and technology enterprises, further shortening the process of bringing products to market.
